Belfast Transport Hub- Grand Central Station

Farrans, in partnership with Sacyr, is spearheading the NI Executive Flagship Belfast Grand Central Station project, set to revolutionize transportation in the area. Replacing the Europa and Great Victoria Street stations, this multi-modal Transport Hub will boast 26 bus stands, 8 railway platforms, and improved pedestrian and cycling links, promoting sustainable travel for a vibrant, healthier city. The Weavers Cross development accompanying the hub promises urban renewal and economic vitality. Excitingly, the project features innovative Tensar Interax NX850 geogrid technology, a first in Northern Ireland. As we look forward to Q1 2024, expect the completion of key elements like the roof fins, lifts, and interior finishes, marking a significant milestone in Belfast’s transportation evolution.
